Alfred – online reception
We are one of only a few places to stay that offer a modern online reception. Before you arrive you can take care of lots of things there – pay for your stay including fees, add extra services or let us know about special requests. With online check-in you enter your details comfortably from home, so you do not need to show ID or wait to be registered when you arrive. Access to Alfred is e-mailed to you automatically once your booking is made.
Arrival and departure
Reception is open daily from 2 pm to 9 pm, and this is also when check-in takes place. If you cannot arrive during these hours, please contact us in advance. Check-in before 2 pm is usually not possible because of morning cleaning – if you arrive early, you are welcome to park or leave your luggage at reception. Check-in after 9 pm is only possible in exceptional cases, by prior arrangement by phone.
You can leave at any time, even at night – we will show you our simple check-out system. Due to limited room capacity, however, we cannot offer late check-out after 10 am, not even for an extra charge.
Payments
When booking, you need to pay for the whole stay or a deposit of the agreed amount – by card or bank transfer. We use a modern and secure payment system. On site you can pay in cash or by card. The full stay must be paid at check-in at the latest.
Parking
There is a private car park in front of the guesthouse for about 12 cars, available throughout your stay. Parking costs €1 per car per night and the whole area is monitored by CCTV. Oversized vehicles may not always find a space easily when we are busy – we recommend checking with us in advance.
Key cards
Instead of keys we use key cards that open both the building and your room. More tech-savvy guests can also open their room with a special code.
Pets
You are welcome to bring your pet. Well-behaved, house-trained animals are welcome for €10 per night. Please let us know in advance so we can give you a suitable room.
Housekeeping
For stays of several nights we do basic daily housekeeping – we empty the bins, top up toilet paper and soap, change towels and wash the glasses. If you would rather not be disturbed, hang the “Do not disturb” sign on your door; if you would like your room cleaned, turn it over to “Please clean the room”. Please report any fault or missing item at reception.
